White with 1 Challenge.

Hi everyone just a quick one today to load my entry into White with 1. The challenge required :

WW1 OCTOBER CHALLENGE...
WHITE + YELLOW + STARS

Here is what I have come up with:

This is my nephew's little boy Logan at his birthday and he LOVES Thomas the tank engine and that is what his mother had made for his cake.
I don't scrap with yellow very much at all, so this was a challenge.
I usually create a double LO as I go and like to pop it up here for family and friends to see and here it is:

Well that is it for today, until next time. Bye.
Kerry.

123 Challenge!

Well here I am over at 123 Challenge giving them a go this month. The challenge this month is:
WORD: MISS
COLOUR: SCHOOL BUS YELLOW
TECHNIQUE: USE PAPER STRIPS

I thought this would be interesting as I hardly ever use yellow for starters, to find strips would be interesting and then the photo's I could work with. So the challenge began. Here is what I came up with:

I thought away from a girlie LO. This is my son in his new room just before starting Uni. My saying
is " We {especially Mum} will MISS u!" I love the colour of the yellow on the black and just framing the photo with yellow strips, adding a few buttons and embellishments. My cream lollipop I had to mist with a bit of yellow paint too. The metal tag is off a piece of clothing from Best and Less that I have had for years which I rediscovered the other day.

Well I like to do a double LO as I work and like to pop it up for family and friends to see so here it is:

Well that is it for now. Bye.
Kerry.

SFS challenge entry.

A quick one today to show you my entry into Scrapbooking From Scratch colour challenge this month. Here are the colours:

Can't say I'm a big user of these colours together { although I do use a LOT of red }. I was ready to give them a go. Here is what I created:

I usually create a double LO and like to pop this on for family and friends to see, so here it is:

 That is it for now.

Scrapbooking from scratch challenge.

This month over at scrapbooking from scratch they have a fairly simple sketch which you can keep it plain or try something different. Here is the sketch:
I have delved into my holiday snaps again and this is what I came up with:
The flower markets in Bangkok were fantastic and soooo cheap. These bundles of roses were around $13 and in Australia they would be worth $100 or more. My daughter is a florist so I had to take photo's for her to see and also they looked lovely all bunched together.
I usually create a double LO and like to pop it up here for my family and friends to see.

I have also cut the lovely rose pattern behind the photo out with my cricut, I thought it would work well with these photo's.
That is it for now.
Bye.
Kerry.

Show Us Your Stuff October Challenge.

Yes October already and time for another challenge. Over at SUYS there is a great sketch this month to try out and here it is:

I love this sketch and thought I would do it a little different and try hexagons. I have scrapped about a friends babies christening. Here is what I came up with:

I love the colours of the grey, blue and red.  It is hard to come up with great LO's for christenings, so I'm pleased with the results of this LO. I usually create two LO's at once and like to pop them up here for friends and family to see. So here it is:

Well that's it for now. I now think I will give this sketch another go one day using circles.
Bye for now.

Hi everyone, well here I am again doing another sketch challenge over at PP. Here is the sketch:

Another great one, I love the layout of it. So here is my entry:

It is a bit hard to see the pattern on the background paper, but there is one. I love this colour combo. These two are great friends of ours and a lot of fun.
I usually create a double LO and like to pop it here for my friends and family to see, so here it is:

Well that it for now. Fingers crossed. Bye.

Here is what I have come up with:

This little girl is my niece and so gorgeous. She has grown since then and is walking and has lost her chubbiness, so I'm popping up a closeup of her chubby cheeks and those legs, love them.

I usually create a double LO and like to pop it up for family and friends to see and here it is:

The colours not as good in this one and I took it in the same spot. Anyway you get to see it.
OK bye for now.
Kerry.

Yippee Our Blog Hop Is Here!

Welcome
to
Scrapbookit’s October Blog Hop

Thanks for joining Me, Scrapbookit and our Design Team on our inspirational blog hop  to share this month’s challenge, so lets get hopping.
Firstly we have the Layout challenge set by {Me} Kerry I hope you can create a layout using Patterned Paper as your background but have lots of negative space, ( scrapping in around only  ¼ of your page), to use ribbon, and to have hidden journaling.
Here is my example:

I was given the gorgeous pack from Echo Park called For The Record 2 by Lori Whitlock.

The paper on this LO was brighter but I wanted to tone it down a bit, so my photo would stand out a little more, I have gone over it roughly with Tim Holtz distress ink - Picket fence. This is a white ink which gives a translucent effect. I'm very happy with using it.
My hidden journaling is up the top of the little sign Made With Love, the label notes and a little flower on top to help you pull it out and read it. I pleated some black ribbon on the bottom.

Secondly the card challenge which was set by Janene is to create a card which has wings as your feature, (be it birds, butterflies, or angels, etc.)
Here is my example of what I came up with:

I have used left overs from my pack of Echo Park papers. Some of the sheets of papers you could use as a whole or cut them up and that is what I have down here. I thought if I cut up the 50 and pop it onto the card I could use it next year as a lot of my friends are turning 50. Underneath the 50 it had pins as in sewing, which I covered with a ticket cut out and an owl sticker. The tape was also cut from the paper. The theme of the paper really was sewing and this proves you can use it for anything.

One lucky person will go into the draw to win a RAK from me and here it is:

Now all you have to do is leave a comment, follow Scrapbookit and my blog, and answer the Blog Hop Question on every members blog below. Now HOP back over to the Scrapbookit Blog and write your answers in our comments section. (Comments will be hidden)

My Question for the Blog Hop is: Does Scrapbookit sell Tim Holtz Distress Ink in the colour of Fired Brick?

You could be in the running for some wonderful RAK’s from the team and if you enter the challenges you could win a Prize Pack (valued at $ 40) for your Layout, or a Card Pack (valued at $20).

So what are you waiting for? Follow the Hop over to
