Scrapbookit's Jan/Feb Challenge.

Hi everyone here is my entry for Scrapbookit. First off here are the requirements for this month:

For the Layout challenge you must follow this criteria.
  • Layout Theme :- "Looking Forward, Looking Back" ( You must use these words somewhere on your layout.
  • Non traditional shaped layout.
  • Must have :- Buttons, Ribbon, and 1 other embellishment.
  • Quote for Inspiration :- (You may or may not choose to use this on your layout) "I can't change the direction of the wind, but I can adjust my sails to always reach my destination." (James Dean).
Here is my LO:
I was wanting to do these photo's for a while, so once I read the requirements I knew straight away which photo's to use. I cut the shapes out from my Cricut using Scals (which I couldn't live without), I made my blue checked buttons and used this measuring tape ribbon.

Here are a few close ups of my photo's:
How they have changed and Barwon Heads is a great place to visit.
Ok bye for now. Kerry.

Friday Night Challenge!

I am quickly getting this blog up as I have the computer man coming in 20 mins to fix it and that usually means no computer for a couple of days. What did we do before computers?
Well here we are FNC over at Scraphappy Kat. and yet again a new thing for me ( I love it ). Here is what was required:

Friday Night Challenge # 5

A bit of Whimsy
you are to create a whimsical LO/card for tonight's challenge
You must include clouds animal/birds and buttons
I started creating and then thought what is whimsical? So to google I went. I didn't have any paper with animals etc, but I did have my owl stamp. Here is my LO:
I played around with my stamps, the clouds are fabric I came across, also played around with Tim Holtz distress ink, the shading tool, distress stains and the centre of the flowers are buttons.
I hope this is whimsical and it was a blast doing this LO. Now I would like to try it again with my little neice and nephew's photo's.
Well must go that's it for today. Bye Kerry.
